San Diego Union-Tribune: Foshee, Kaysen Join Bocuse Cooking Team


Charity dinner in Santa Monica raises money for international chefs' competition.

One of San Diego’s top chefs, and a famed former local chef, will share kitchen duties next month in Santa Monica at a seven-course fund-raising dinner for the Bocuse d’Or USA Foundation.

Trey Foshee, executive chef at George’s at the Cove in La Jolla, and Gavin Kaysen, formerly of El Bizcocho in Rancho Bernardo and now at Cafe Boulud in New York, will alternate courses with Michael Cimarusti of Providence and Connie & Ted’s in L.A.; Michael Tusk of San Francisco’s Quince and Cotogna; Traci Des Jardins of Jardiniere in San Francisco; and chef Josiah Citrin, who is hosting the charity dinner Nov. 10 at his Melisse restaurant in Santa Monica.
