San Diego Chefs and Restaurants
Deemed "the Oscars of the food world," byTime magazine, The James Beard Foundation Awards are the country's most coveted honor for chefs and other industry professionals. All opinionated diners, whether members of the James Beard Foundation or not, are welcome to submit nominations for up to 19 categories including Outstanding Chef and Outstanding Restaurant. Last year's winners included José Andrés of minibar by josé andrés in Washington, D.C. and ABC Kitchen in New York City.
We'd love your nomination for Trey and George's California Modern, but even more important we'd love to see San Diego gain a greater presence in these coveted awards. So please, make your nominations before December 31, 2011. The nominating process is easy. The only information you need to provide is your name, email address and state of residence, then you can submit your suggestions.
Deadline for entry is December 31, 2011 at 11:59PM. One entry per person, please; membership in the James Beard Foundation is not required for entry. Winners will be announced on May 7, 2012 at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall in New York City.
