George’s at the Cove Reopening for Onsite Dining June 1st

George’s at the Cove is excited to announce that we will be re-opening for dine-in service on June 1st for the Ocean Terrace and Level2, followed by California Modern on June 8th. We look forward to having you all back! Please note that we will be primarily reservation-based, however, we are currently not accepting reservations. Of course, you can also contact us directly for more personal assistance.

The last 2+ months have been a challenging time for all of us. We appreciate all of you for your continued patience and support as we navigate several new challenges ahead of us. We are eager to get back to what we love doing and we have made several changes to our operation in order to keep safety our top priority for you and our employees. Please view the “Safety Measures” below to learn what we are doing to accomplish this.

Safety measures:

  • Hand sanitizing stations available throughout the restaurant
  • Staff training to meet and exceed state and local cleanliness and sanitizing guidelines
  • Increased frequency of cleaning and sanitizing of common areas such as bathrooms, handrails, and doors
  • Designating specific staff members for routine sanitation during service hours
  • All staff and vendors will be required to wear face coverings at all times while on property
  • Guidelines for the use of gloves have been implemented for certain tasks and job assignments
  • Temperature and wellness screenings for all vendors entering the property and employees prior to each shift
  • We employ cleaning professionals that use hospital-grade cleaning supplies every night in our kitchen, bar, dining areas, and restrooms.
  • Guests will be required to wear masks while they are away from their table
  • Reservation-based appointments to prevent overcrowding and waiting
  • Only full parties will be seated
  • Bartop seating has been temporarily suspended
  • Spacing and/or partitions to enable proper social distancing
  • Digital and single-use menus
  • Each table and chair will be thoroughly sanitized prior to each new guest seated
  • Tables will no longer be pre-set; condiments will be available upon request
  • Contact-reduced steps of service
  • We will implement group services such as water and wine carafes where appropriate
  • Contactless payment options are available with sanitizing after each use (cash will no longer be accepted); check presenters (if used) will be sanitized after each use along with any pen(s)
  • Floor markers will be placed in areas where lines may form to promote social distancing. These include but are not limited to areas like host stands and restroom hallways
  • We will continue our curbside service which can be ordered online here.
